The start point for the best source of fleet information

Weather warning despite warmth

Date: 16 January 2012

Despite a mild start to the winter, fleet operators must still plan ahead to cater for adverse weather conditions, including applying the safest option of keeping their drivers off the roads in dangerous conditions.

That's according to the Fleet Safety Forum - the subscription service run by road safety charity Brake - which has published new guidance on the topic of 'Driver Safety in Bad Weather'. According to the DfT, 33% of all fatal crashes in the UK in 2010 occurred when roads were wet, icy or snowy.

Fleet Safety Forum subscribers, and the first 50 non-subscribers that email a request to forum@ brake.org.uk, can get the guidance for free.
