AUTUMN STATEMENT 2013: Investment for electric vehicles on public sector fleets

The Government is to invest £5m in readying public sector fleets for electric vehicle adoption.
The money will be invested during 2014 and 2015 in what is described as a "large scale electric vehicle readiness programme for public sector fleets".
The move is intended to promote the uptake of ultra-low emissions vehicles to show "clear leadership by the public sector to encourage future widespread acceptance".
