BMW has officially unveiled its revised executive sector 5-series range, as reported by BusinessCar earlier this year.
The changes include cutting CO2 on the 520d from 125g/km to 119g/km, dropping it by two benefit-in-kind bands and negating the need for the Efficient Dynamics model that is now discontinued.
All three models in the line-up - saloon, Touring and Gran Tourismo - get refreshed looks, and all petrol and diesel engines now meet Euro6 emissions regulations that come into force 15 months from now.
The Business Navigation system is now standard on all 5-series models, and the Gran Tourismo's more extensive revisions include a redesigned tailgate that liberates an additional 60 litres of space in the boot, taking it to 500 litres.
These changes come at a price though. The new 520d SE saloon costs an additional £1100 over the old model at £31,530, while the Touring version is up by £900 and the Gran Tourismo rises by £595 to a £37,605 entry point.
At the top of the range, the monster V8 550i is up by 42hp to 449hp, yet emissions are down by 43g/km to 199g/km.
