BP launches fuel card with no transaction fees

Date: 28 November 2013   |   Author: Jack Carfrae

Fuel company BP has launched a fuel card with no transaction fees known as Supercharge. The petrol giant claims the card has been launched "in response to demands for value and transparency" and has the capacity to save a fleet running 100 vehicles around £13,000 a year in transaction fees.

The cards are accepted at 8000 sites in the UK and cost £24 per card per year for fleets with 1-99 vehicles, £18 for those with 100-199 vehicles and £12 for fleets of 200 or more.

Head of fuel cards Ranjeev Baines said: "We know many fleets are concerned by unexpected or additional refuelling costs and surcharges.

"As such, the Supercharge fuel card will appeal to those fleets that want the choice and convenience of refuelling almost anywhere in the UK but don't want to pay above pump price to do so. BP Supercharge provides access to 8000 sites at pump price with no transaction fee."
