Cakebread assumes BVRLA chairman role

Date: 04 June 2013   |   Author:

Marshall Leasing managing director Peter Cakebread has taken on the role of BVRLA chairman, replacing Hertz's Neil Cunningham who has now completed his two-year term.

Cakebread chaired the BRVLA's leasing and fleet management committee from 2007-2009 and was also part of the selection panel that appointed Gerry Keaney as the association's chief executive, replacing John Lewis.

"I want to ensure that the BVRLA punches its weight in Government circles and that it is the first port of call for policymakers when they are drawing up new laws that could affect our sector," said Cakebread.

There are also changes to BVRLA committee chairs, with ARI Fleet's new managing director Keith Allen replacing Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions' Simon Oliphant at the helm of the leasing and fleet management committee, while

Paul Huxford of PHVC Vehicle Management has replaced Fleet Alliance's Martin Brown in charge of the leasing broker committee.
