Dacia aims for small fleet business

Date: 18 November 2013   |   Author: Jack Carfrae

Dacia UK boss Ken Ramirez has reiterated that the value brand continues to be predominantly a retail player, with no fleet deals available.

However, he admitted that uptake by small fleets via dealers was likely.

"For small business operators, the vehicles are quite appealing," he said. "We don't do fleet deals on a larger scale. We want to maintain the value of the vehicle."

However, he conceded that dealers building local relationships with small business would create higher loyalty and service business.

Since first deliveries in April this year, Dacia will sell 18,000 units this year, according to Ramirez, with the Duster and new Sandero Stepway being particularly popular.
