The start point for the best source of fleet information

Epyx sold to Allstar owners Fleetcor

Date: 13 November 2013   |   Author: Jack Carfrae

International fuel card and workforce payment specialist Fleetcor - the owner of the market-leading Allstar fuel card brand - has announced that it has acquired fleet e-commerce business Epyx from Hg Capital.

Little is known about the move at this stage, though Fleetcor has been expanding beyond its traditional fuel card roots by acquiring the likes of telematics firms in America and the Czech Republic, and a workforce lodging business in the US. Here,  Fleetcor owns The Fuelcard Company and Keyfuels, as well as Allstar.

Ron Clarke, Fleetcor's chairman and chief executive officer, said in a statement: "We've been looking for ideas to extend beyond fleet fuelling, to fleet maintenance, and Epyx has done that.

"They've developed a highly specialised system that helps their fleet customers better manage their overall maintenance life cycle and costs.

"We like the potential to bring this solution to a lot more clients."
