Euro NCAP tests quartet of cars

Date: 20 June 2013   |   Author: James Dallas

Four more cars have been tested by Euro NCAP.

The Chevrolet Trax and Renault Captur supermini-based SUVs both scored the maximum five stars.

However, the Trax attained higher percentage scores for adult, child and pedestrian protection than the Captur.

The Dacia Sandero scored four stars thanks in part to a poor 'safety assist' score because the car is not equipped with rear seatbelt reminders.

The fourth vehicle tested was the Nissan Evalia, an MPV not sold in the UK?but based on the Nissan NV200 van. The Evalia scored three stars due to poor safety-assist and adult-occupant ratings.
