Lexus's revised CT200h hatchback will arrive in the UK next March, after the premium lower medium rival to the BMW 1-series and Mercedes A-class was revealed at the Guangzhou motor show in China earlier this month.

The firm has cut CO2 by 5g/km to just 82g/km for the entry-level S model, while higher spec models have emissions reduced by 6g/km to 88g/km.

Mild cosmetic changes include a new rear new bumper and refinement is also said to have been improved.

Updates have also been made to the infotainment and satnav systems and a tyre pressure warning system has also been introduced.

The F-sport version adds more cosmetic upgrades including aluminium pedals and a tweaked rear spoiler.

Prices and full specifications for the new CT200h will be announced in January.
