Glass's appoints new managing director

Date: 08 April 2013   |   Author: Jack Carfrae

Former ING Car Lease manager, Ian Tilbrook, has been appointed managing director at valuation firm Glass's.

He will take up his new post on 15 April, filling the gap left by Michael Bergmann, who has been promoted to European managing director of the Eurotax Glass's Group.

Tilbrook spent a decade at ING and was heavily involved in its merge with Alphabet in 2011, after which he oversaw the integration of the two businesses.

He has formerly held roles at Leaseplan and spent time on the BVRLA board.

Tilbrook said of the move: "I'm delighted to be joining Glass's. My passion for customer service and product innovation has driven my career, and Glass's vision to produce the best innovations for its customers make us a perfect fit.

"I'm looking forward to getting to grips with the challenges that lie ahead and helping to drive the business forward."

Bergmann commented: "I would like to welcome Ian to our UK team. Glass's has undergone extensive change in the past 18 months to reflect an evolving market and meet our customer needs.

"I have no doubt that Ian's experience and leadership will be invaluable to Glass's in its continued drive to innovate and to become the leading source of automotive data in the UK market. I very much look forward to working with Ian in the years to come."
