Hyundai expands fleet department

Date: 09 September 2013

Rapidly growing Korean car manufacturer Hyundai has appointed three new members to its fleet team, to of which are newly created roles for the firm that broke into the top 10 fleet manufacturers in 2012.

The additional roles of national contract hire manager and public sector assistant manager demonstrate "Hyundai's fleet customer focus and true fleet growth", according to the firm, and it has also appointed a new fleet operations manager for Scotland and northern England in the form of Craig Larson, who has previously spent six years as an Audi area fleet sales manager.

The national contract hire manager position has been filled by Gareth Thomas, who moves from Peugeot, where he has been national fleet sales manager for the past three years, having previously worked for Nissan.

The public sector assistant manager's position has been filled by Denis Watling, who worked with the firm during his undergraduate year in 2011/12 before returning after graduating.

"Hyundai UK has undergone tremendous growth in the past five years and it is important to continue on the upward trend now and in the future," said Hyundai UK fleet director Martin Wilson.

"Hyundai's Fleet sales team now has personnel in all key positions to help the brand achieve further growth in 'true fleet', while ensuring our high standards of fleet customer service are continually improved upon at every stage."
