Kwik-fit shifts approach to attract outright purchase fleets

Date: 14 March 2013

Kwik-Fit Fleet has reorganised its sales operation in a bid to improve its business with outright purchase fleets following a commercial vehicle initiative last year.

Corporate sales director Martin Towers has overseen the changes, which include a four-strong team of regional account managers now being dedicated to securing and retaining business from 100-plus owner-operator fleets. The team will work in parallel with an existing team of four who specialise in working with leasing and rental businesses.

The changes come about after Kwik-Fit ran a light commercial vehicle initiative last year. Towers said: "Outright purchase fleets have always been a key target market for Kwik-Fit. However, our increased focus on the light commercial vehicle sector has highlighted major additional business opportunities. "As a result we have decided on a strategy that sees our geographically based senior account managers focus on business with public, private and voluntary fleets operating 100-plus cars and vans."
