Lex Autolease keeps up with building firm's fleet demands

Date: 21 June 2013   |   Author: James Dallas

Lex Autolease is to provide south-west-based building contractors The Jones Group with 110 new vehicles worth £1m to replace the company's existing fleet.

Lex has already delivered a batch of 10 Citroen vans and two cars to the firm's Yeovil branch and claimed that once all the 100 vans and 10 cars are in operation, the Jones Group would benefit from a 20% cut in annual fuel bills plus a 17% reduction in CO2.

Dave Jones, managing director of The Jones Group, said: "It is our intention that over the next few years we will have replaced our existing fleet with the most eco-friendly and fuel-efficient vans on the market."

Lex conducted a review of the firm's vans' working practices, including loads carried and distances travelled, to identify the most economical options.

The LCVs supplied will be Citroen Nemo, Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay models to be used as engineer, gas fitter, multi-trade and supervisor vans.

The vehicles have all been customised to fill their specific roles and are covered by Lex Autolease's accident management and maintenance services.
