Lex Autolease signs deal with MoD

Date: 12 December 2013   |   Author: Will Stretton

Lex Autolease has been appointed a vehicle supplier for the Ministry of Defence.

Under an operation entitled Project Phoenix, Lex Autolease is to provide more than 1000 unmarked vehicles for the MoD's non-combat fleet, including the Peugeot 208 and Vauxhall Astra as well as several light commercial vehicles.

The fleet will be delivered within five months and is to be used for the transportation of staff between bases, with the agreement including full maintenance and accident management provision.

Simon Tearle, senior corporate relationship manager at Lex Autolease, said: "Securing the latest fleet requirement enables us to further strengthen our longstanding relationship with the department, having worked with the MoD for more than 12 years"
