New Nissan X-trail 4x4 revealed

Date: 16 September 2013

Nissan has revealed the first pictures of its new X-trail, arriving in the UK around 12 months from now, with the Japanese brand creating a more crossover-styled model than the butch off-roader that was the previous-generation car.

Targeting best-in-class refinement, economy and environmental status, the new X-trail is, according to Nissan, designed to be "as tough and accomplished as the previous-generation model, but adds crossover style and efficiency, exciting design, innovative technology and exceptional comfort."

There will be a seven-seat option, which will replace the Qashqai+2 as the people-carrying choice in the Nissan line-up, and the company is also claiming the X-trail will be one of the most advanced cars on the road thanks to the first implementation of the NissanConnect navigation, information and entertainment system.

More detail on engines, specification and pricing will be revealed as we move towards the UK launch date.
