The new Nissan Micra

Nissan has revealed the first official images of its new Micra supermini. The heavily facelifted model has been restyled and brought into line with models such as the Juke and the Qashqai.

New alloy wheels and colours complete the exterior upgrades but no changes have been announced to the engine and transmission line-up, so the cleanest variant remains the 1.2-litre supercharged DIG-S model at 95g/km and with 68.9mpg.

A new touchscreen satnav system with a larger screen now comes as standard depending on the spec and includes Google system whereby drivers can plan a journey on their computer and send the instructions to the car before setting off.

A series of minor changes have also been made to the interior trim and sound systems and the updated model goes on sale in September.
