No fleet concern for Japanese manufacturer recall

Date: 19 April 2013   |   Author: Jack Carfrae

There is little or no cause for concern from fleets about last week's recall announced across Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Mazda models.

Over three million are being recalled worldwide, including the UK, due to faulty airbags, but the most recent cars affected were registered in 2004, rendering them too old for conventional car fleets.

Some grey fleet drivers may still be affected by the recall. Registered owners should be contacted by the manufacturer in the near future, while owners are advised to contact the relevant manufacturer if they believe their vehicle may be affected.
