Peugeot names new fleet boss

Date: 26 November 2013

Peugeot has announced a series of changes to its senior management team, including a the appointment of a new fleet director.

Outgoing director of fleet and used vehicles Phil Robson will depart for what Peugeot describes as "an international mission" at the firm's Paris headquarters. Robson will be replaced by Martin Gurney, who moves from the role of director of programming, logistics and distribution for PSA Peugeot Citroen. Gurney is in turn replaced by David Higgins, previously director of parts and service.

A new role with direct relevance to the fleet and business sector has also been created. Nick Crossley moves from Peugeot's marketing department to the head of business sales position, with responsibility for improving sales of cars and vans "to businesses via the dealer network".

All of Peugeot's business development managers will also report in to Crossley.  "It used to fall uncomfortably between fleet and retail and we recognised we didn't have as much with market intelligence as we should have," said Robson.

The changes will be completed by 1 January 2014.
