Seasonal discount pack for operators

Leasing firm Grosvenor has launched a new winter service for fleets.
Known as Winterdrive, the scheme offers new customers a three-month discount on the firm's accident management programme, "fast-track" access and account set-up for short-term off-road or 4x4 vehicle rental, a free winter driving guide that can be sent to drivers, and an "advice hotline", which offers guidance on winter tyres, checking vehicles and safe driving.
Stuart Menzies, commercial director at Grosvenor, said: "Most companies operating fleets of vehicles bemoan the rising costs during the winter months.
"The poor weather and shorter daytime hours bring about more accidents, a rise in breakdowns and roadside call outs, and often a downturn in productivity if drivers cannot travel.
"Most problems, and costs, are caused by vehicles not being checked and prepared for the cold weather, poor driving in challenging conditions, and a lack of planning for when the ice and snow sets in.
"[The] package offers proactive support to fleet operators, and is designed to save money, reduce time off road and make winter a far less stressful period for fleet managers."
