Skoda's new Octavia estate revealed

Date: 11 March 2013

The estate version of Skoda's new Octavia will go on sale in the UK later this year and jump straight to the top of the class for boot space.

The new Octavia estate, which is based on the same underpinnings as the VW Golf, Seat Leon and Audi A3, has a 610-litre boot with the rear seats in place and loaded to the window-line. At this size it is bigger than most cars in the large-family class. With the seats folded the maximum boot space is 1740 litres. The increased space is thanks to an overall increase in length of 9cm.

Skoda claims the Greenline version will be capable of 83.1mpg and have a CO2 emissions figure of 89g/km. The Octavia estate goes on sale in mid-2013.
