Volvo has revised its larger cars for 2013. The changes include facelifts, efficiency improvements and equipment updates.
The upper medium S60, V60 estate and XC60 SUV have been facelifted inside and out to offer greater levels of quality, according to the Swedish brand. The revisions also see the D2 1.6 diesel version of the S60 hit a class-leading 106g/km for CO2 and 70.6mpg for economy, improving in the pre-refresh car's 114k/km and 65.7mpg. The automatic version of the same car is capable of 107g/km and 68.9mpg. Efficiency gains are also offered across the rest of the models.
Volvo has also revised the external styling of the V70 estate and S80 executive models to more closely resemble each other, giving both a lower, wider look.
Interior materials have been upgraded on the larger Volvos to give a more luxurious feel, too, while the cars will also all now have a clever high-beam system as an option. It automatically adjusts the main beam to blank only that portion that could dazzle another car, but keeps all other parts of the high-beam illuminated for maximum driver visibility.
The revised cars go on sale in the UK this summer.
