The start point for the best source of fleet information

35,000 UK Toyotas recalled

Date: 23 April 2014

Toyota has announced a 35,124-vehicle recall covering Rav4, Hilux, Yaris and Urban Cruiser models, although very few will still be on UK fleets.

Rav4 and Hilux models built before 2011 and pre-September 2011-build Yaris and Urban Cruiser vehicles are affected, the former for an issue with the airbag and the latter for both seat rail and steering column problems.

Vehicle owners will be contacted via post or telephone in the coming weeks, and there is more information on the owners' section of www.toyota.co.uk.

The firm is keen to point out that there are no reports worldwide of accidents, incidents or fatalities linked to any of the recalls, and the rectification work will be carried out free of charge at a Toyota dealer.
