Audi reveals TT Roadster ahead of Paris debut

Date: 24 September 2014   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Audi has revealed its new TT roadster ahead of its debut at the Paris motor show next week. UK deliveries will commence in March and it will cost from £31,955.

Of particularly interest the fleet market will be the Ultra model. It is powered by the firm's 184hp 2.0-litre diesel unit and returns 65.7mpg, which equates to CO2 emissions of 114g/km. Audi claims this is a benchmark in the sports segment.

Petrol-wise, the TT will be powered by a 230hp 2.0-litre lump. The Quattro version emits 154g/km CO2 while the two-wheel drive variant emits 140g/km.

All models come with what Audi calls its virtual cockpit - a 12.3-inch LCD display that replaces the analogue dials.

Owners can choose between a classic view, which is just the speedometer and rev counter in the foreground, while the 'infotainment' mode allows other functions to appear on the screen.
