Praising his service to the organisation, BVRLA chief executive Gerry Keaney, said:  "As Chairman, Vice-Chairman or in committees, Neil has been involved with most of the big decisions this association has had to take in recent years.

"His experience and enthusiasm are a great asset to us and we are delighted that he will remain on the Committee of Management."

Six new members of the committee have been confirmed.

These include Tim Buchan, of Zenith Leasedrive Holdings, Benoit Dilly, of Arval UK, Victoria Hudson of Eurohire Vehicle Rentals, Tim Porter, of Lex Autolease, Mark Servodidio of Avis and Robert Shaw, of Europcar Group UK.
