DVLA appeals to fleets for driving licence views

Date: 18 February 2014   |   Author: Jack Carfrae

The DVLA has launched an online survey to determine how operators use and manage the counterpart driving licence, prior to its scheduled demise in 2015.

The survey intends to establish how vehicle operators manage, check and administer paper counterpart licences, and aims to get an insight into the sorts of elements that companies will
require from the forthcoming digital service, which is pegged to replace the paper counterpart.

The DVLA stated: "We realise this change will have an impact on customers, so we need to ensure we fully consider the needs and views of those who will be affected. This will help us take account of what our priorities should be.

"We would be very interested in knowing more about how you currently use the counterpart, how you would use a digital enquiry service, and how this change would be dealt with by your organisation.

"We would also be interested in any statistics you may have about the number of counterpart checks you currently undertake."

Operators can take part in the survey here.
