Honda has revealed has revealed its Civic facelift, which features a new derivative - the Civic Sport - ahead of its Paris motor show debut next week.

The Civic Sport will join the existing line-up when the 2015 model-year goes on sale in the early part of spring next year.  Pricing has not yet been announced.

The Sport model will be powered by either a 1.6-litre petrol or 1.6-litre diesel unit producing 120hp and 143hp respectively. No CO2 figures have been released yet.

Honda claim that the Civic's 477 litre and Civic Tourer's 624-litre load space remain the best in their respective classes.

Each model in the updated Civic range will have the Japanese car maker's City Brake Active system as standard. It uses radar technology to scan the road ahead, and applies the brakes if it detects a collision ahead.
