Ford confirms 2015 Focus ST pricing

Date: 29 October 2014   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Ford's new Focus will be priced from £22,195 for both the petrol and diesel versions when it goes on sale in February.

This is the first ST to offer a diesel powertrain option - a 2.0-litre unit which produces 185hp, emits 110g/km CO2 and delivers 67.3mpg. It fits into VED band B and has a BIK rating of 18%.

The five-door petrol and diesel models cost from £22,195 in ST-1 specification, £23,695 in ST-2 trim and £25,995 in top-spec ST-3 form. Estate versions carry a £1100 premium on top of the five-door model.

The 2.0-litre petrol engine offers up 250hp, 41.5mpg and 159g/km CO2, meaning it fits into band G and the 24% BIK bracket.

Both models come with stop/start technology as standard and come with a six-speed manual gearbox with tuned gear ratios.

Tech features include adaptive front lights and a Cross Traffic Alert that warns drivers reversing from parking spaces if other vehicles are about to cross the car's path.

The ST will also utilise the technology that is in the rest of the Focus range including the Sync2 connectivity system.

The range also includes Ford's active city stop collision avoidance system as first seen in the 2015 Mondeo.
