Honda appoints new fleet boss

Date: 10 March 2014

Rob English has taken over as Honda's corporate operations manager, succeeding Lee Wheeler, who left the company in January for a position with banking giant Santander.

English spent much of his career with the Volkswagen Group, working with both Audi and Skoda, where he was national fleet sales manager.

He moves to Honda after eight months as account director at Cheshire-based Return On Investment, which specialises in customer retention and winning new business.

Both Audi and Honda are among its clients. He starts his new role on 17 March.

"Rob is a very welcome additional to our team," said Honda UK's head of cars Leon Brannan.
