The new Sorento is longer by 95mm to 4780mm, 15mm lower and 80mm wider and features an extended wheelbase by 80mm to 2780mm in comparison to the current model as Kia looks to move the product up market.
The exterior design was led by Kia's Korean design studio but the brand said European and US design teams also had input.
The new Sorento is expected to go on sale in the UK in spring 2015. Prices and specifications will be revealed closer to launch.
