Avis Budget UK has appointed Louisa Bell as commercial director.
Although the position has been filled numerous occasions, it has not been occupied for the long term since Anthony Ainsworth left Avis in February 2012.
Bell will be responsible for overseeing all customer-facing areas including the business-to-business, consumer and intermediary business. Bell has already started work there.
Bell brings over 15 years experience with her, currently sitting on the board of the Institute of Travel and Meetings (ITM) while also having previously served as UK commercial director at Cigna Healthcare.
"We're confident having someone with such a wealth of experience will allow us to continue driving success throughout our business and the car rental market," said Kaye Ceille, managing director for Avis Budget UK.
