Mazda reveals 2015 facelifted Mazda6

Date: 01 December 2014

The facelifted Mazda6 will feature new specification and technology features when it goes on sale in the UK early next year.

Prices have been increased by £200 for the entry-level model but all facelifted models get a new instrument panel and centre console design, revised suspension system and improved sound insulation throughout the body.

The new Mazda6 will also feature the Japanese brand's first electronic parking brake on SE and SE-L grades.

Mazda has also upgraded its touch screen with a new 7-inch system which incorporates DAB radio and MZD Connect, which lets drivers pair their smartphones with the car.

Top-of-the-range Sport Nav models feature a re-styled front - new grille and signature wing design - incorporating LED headlamps including LED daytime running lights, LED foglamps, new LED tail lamps, and new 19-inch bright alloy wheels.

Mazda has also made new safety equipment features available as options - including head-up display, adaptive LED headlamps (ALH), lane-keep assist system (LAS) and advanced blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.

Rear smart city brake support is also available and operates at speeds of between 2mph and 5mph when reversing, automatically applying the brakes if the system detects an imminent rear impact.
