Mazda reveals CX-3 crossover at LA motor show

Date: 19 November 2014   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Mazda has revealed the new CX-3 crossover at the Los Angeles motor show, due on sale next year.

The Japanese car maker hasn't given any hints about the pricing, but has confirmed the engines that will be powering the UK versions: a 2.0-litre petrol with two power options and a 1.5-litre diesel engine.

These will be mated to Mazda's six-speed automatic or six-speed manual gearboxes, which can be offered in either front or all-wheel drive guises.

No details were available regarding CO2, power or economy for the engines, but expect more information to filter through nearer to the car's on-sale date.

Mazda said the CX-3 will be offered with the firm's active safety systems as well as a "generous" infotainment system.
