Mercedes reveals V-class MPV

Date: 10 February 2014   |   Author: Jack Carfrae

Mercedes has revealed the first official images of the V-class eight-seater MPV, it's largest passenger car.

Due on sale in the UK in early 2015, it will be available with two versions of Mercedes' 2.1-litre diesel engine: the 163hp V220 CDI, which offers 49.6mpg and 149g/km, and the 190hp V250 Bluetech, which returns 46mpg and as-yet unspecified emissions.

Merc claims multiple seating combinations will be possible, and standard kit will include leather seats, LED headlamps and a rear windscreen that opens separately from the rest of the tailgate to make loading easier.

A USB input, seven-inch infotainment display and sliding rear doors will also come as standard.  Prices will be confirmed closer to its on-sale date.
