Van rental specialist Northgate has opened a new site in Wimbledon, south-west London, which will serve businesses located in Wimbledon, Kingston upon Thames, Wandsworth, Mitcham and Sutton.
The move follows an announcement by the firm that it plans to expand its operations in and around Greater London.
The site will house more than 40 vehicles. Northgate said it would offer "opening deals" to businesses in the area.
Michael Johnson, Northgate Wimbledon's branch manager, said: "Our new Wimbledon branch falls within the London Borough of Merton, which has a population of 200,500 people.
"As an affluent suburb of London, with a thriving SME business community, the area is identified as one of 35 major centres in Greater London, providing us with a unique opportunity to deliver our flexible fleet offering in an area in need of quality commercial vehicle hire from a national supplier.
"In addition, Wimbledon is home to the headquarters of a number of large energy companies, such as Esso UK and EDF Production UK, and has over 100 industrial, trade and business parks in and around a 20-minute drive time zone."
