The prime minister, David Cameron, has announced details of a five-year £15bn 'road-building blitz' should the Conservative return to power in next year's general election.
Cameron was speaking at the Confederation of British Industry's annual conference today, and is expected to announce a future Tory Government would invest in over 100 projects on the Strategic Road Network by the end of the decade.
Should the Tories return to power, the following roads will be upgraded alongside the other projects on the Strategic Road Network.
"We know to secure Britain's future, we need world-class infrastructure," Cameron told the business leaders today (10 November), "Families need it to get around; businesses need it to create jobs; we need it to compete with the world and deliver economic security."
