Research laboratory surveys diabetes impact on fleet drivers

Date: 10 April 2014   |   Author: Martin Gurdon

The Transport Research Laboratory is calling for company car users to take part in a survey studying the impact of type 2 diabetes on drivers, which will look at how they manage the condition and the effects of certain, related medications.

The survey takes about 20 minutes, and the TRL is running a prize draw, with £30 cash prizes and shopping vouchers worth £150 to encourage respondents to take part.

Selected respondents who agree to further contact will then be asked to take part in a 30-minute telephone survey, for which they will be paid £30.

TRL believes there are around three million motorists who have the condition, of whom around half a million drive for work.

The survey will also be open to truck and passenger-service vehicle drivers.
