Seat reveals pricing for off-road Leon estate model

Date: 22 August 2014   |   Author:

Seat's new Leon X-perience lifestyle estate will be priced between £24,385 and £28,870 when it goes on sale in the UK in December.

Order books will open on September 1 for the Seat's fourth expansion to the Leon range, with the X-perience joining the five-door Leon hatch, three-door Leon SC and Leon ST estate.

The X-perience is based on the Leon ST and is the Spanish brand's first step towards a core SUV model, which will be launched in 2016.

There is a £3,105 price hike between the Leon ST SE 2.0-litre TDI and the Leon X-perience SE 2.0-litre TDI. The price difference between a Volkswagen Passat estate Executive Style 2.0-litre TDI and a Passat 4Track 2.0-litre TDI both is £1,423.

The Leon X-perience features all-wheel drive, extended electronic differential lock (XDS)raised road clearance and extra exterior details over the Leon ST, including protection mouldings on the door-sills and wheel arches, aluminium look touches for the rear bumper and lower front spoiler.

The new model also features integrated fog lamps and twin chrome tailpipes, together with air intakes at the front.

Company car drivers can choose from two trim levels at launch, SE and SE Technology. The same 2.0-litre TDI engine in 150 and 184 power guises carries over from the Leon ST.

The SE trim features 17-inch twin-spoke alloy wheels, black roof rails and dark tinted rear windows, rear parking sensors and twin exhaust tailpipes.

Standard interior equipment includes dual zone climate control, leather steering wheel with orange stitching and X-perience logo, and cloth upholstered front sports seats with simil leather bolsters. All X-perience models come with hill hold control and a chrome loading sill.

There's a £1985 mark up for the SE Technology, which includes the Seat Media System Plus with 5.8-inch colour touchscreen, DAB and satellite navigation, plus auto headlights, wipers and dimming rear view mirror.

The top trim also includes LED headlights and taillights, electrically folding door mirrors and 18-inch 'X-perience' machined alloy wheels.

The interior includes Alcantara upholstery and simil leather bolsters.
