Date: 12 November 2014   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Volvo has revealed its V60 Cross Country at the Los Angeles motor show. Due on sale in the UK in June with prices and specifications confirmed in Q1 of 2015.

Similar to the V40 Cross Country - a taller version of the lower medium segment car - Volvo claims the V60 Cross Country now has "all road and all weather capability". Volvo says its ground clearance is 65mm than that of the V60.

The V60 Cross Country will be available in both front and all-wheel-drive formats. Front wheel drive models will be powered by the Swedish car maker's 136hp oil burner which returns a claimed 62.8mpg on the combined cycle and emits 119g/km CO2 in the V60 or the D4 unit which produces 181hp, returns a claimed 68.9mpg on the claimed cycle and emits 103g/km in the V60, while all-wheel-drive versions of the Cross Country will be powered by the D4 unit.

"We are delighted to add the third true Cross Country model to our product portfolio. The successful combination of dynamic styling and rugged capability places the V60 Cross Country in a class of its own," said Lex Kerssemakers, senior vice president of product strategy, Volvo.
