The Jaguar XE was crowned ACFO's Fleet Car of the Year at last night's annual awards ceremony.
The win marks the first time a Jaguar vehicle has won the award, which is voted for by members of the industry body.
BMW and Ford each picked up two of the seven titles during the gala dinner. The German car maker won the Green Vehicle of the Year award with its plug-in i3, and also winning the Environmental Initiative of the Year.
Ford, meanwhile, scooped both the Small Van of the Year award (with the Transit Connect) and the Large Van of the Year gong with the Transit.
The DVLA also retained its title in the Fleet Service Company of the Year category, thanks to the Government department engaging with ACFO's members as it introduced services such as V5C checks and the new online driver licence validation service.
Volvo's XC90 won ACFO's Fleet Safety Initiative with its suite of safety technology, including a run-off road protection package and an auto-braking system.
"Fleet decision-makers are reliant on motor manufacturers to deliver vehicles that are cost effective to operate, safe, reliable and environmentally-friendly and suppliers and other organisations to provide a first class services," said John Pryor, ACFO chairman.
"Operating successfully in partnership it means that through the availability of top quality vehicles and first rate suppliers, vehicle downtime can be kept to an absolute minimum and fleet managers can focus on the efficient and effective operation of their vehicles to support their businesses," he added.
