Alphabet investigates trademark infringement over new Google branding

Top-three BC50 leasing company Alphabet is currently investigating  the possibility of a trademark infringement, after Google announced it had founded a holding company called Alphabet earlier today (11 August).

BMW-owned Alphabet currently owns the domain name www.alphabet.com, and is concerned over any potential confusion.

"The possibility of any trademark infringement is currently under review," an Alphabet statement said.

A Google spokeswoman declined to comment on the case.

BMW-owned Alphabet currently controls the Facebook.com/alphabet domian name, while neither company controls the @Alphabet Twitter handle.
