BMW launches chauffeur service

Date: 19 October 2015   |   Author: Tristan Young

BMW has introduced a new chauffeur fleet service alongside the new 7-series in a bid to crack Mercedes' dominance in the sector.

The service is being run through 44 Chauffeur Specialist dealers as an extension to the company's existing Chauffeur Programme.

Chauffeurs that buy a 7-series, which goes on sale this month, and use one of the dedicated retailers, will be offered a courtesy car for their business while any service work is carried out. The service centres at dealerships will also operate longer hours to better suit customers that need their car for business.

Alongside this, chauffeur businesses will be offered a four-year 120,000-mile free servicing package, rather than the standard five-year 50,000 miles package, plus dedicated finance offers.

BMW expects chauffeur fleets to account for around 50% of the 1000-1200 7-series expected to be sold in a full year.
