BVRLA launches its Fleet Technology Survey

Date: 13 May 2015   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

The BVRLA is polling the fleet industry to ascertain opinions on new automotive technology as part of its Fleet Technology Survey.

The results of the survey will be published at the association's Fleet Technology Congress on 1 July at the Williams F1 Conference Centre in Grove, Oxfordshire.

Respondents will be entered into a prize draw to win an Apple Watch Sport. The survey will explore developments in connectivity and autonomous technology and tackle issues, identifying challenges and opportunities for vehicle rental and leasing companies and their customers.

This year's event will include sessions on:

  • Jaguar Land Rover's perspective on connected cars and fleet technology
  • Current trends and future potential for autonomous safety technology
  • The impact of telematics on fleet insurance
  • How telematics and apps are changing the way vehicles are driven and managed
  • Connectivity and mobile data challenges
  • Your rights and responsibilities in dealing with driver and vehicle data
  • What new mobility business models are emerging

"The automotive environment is set to be transformed by technology over the next few years. The knowledge, expertise and buying power of the fleet industry means that it will be at the heart of that revolution," said BVRLA chief executive Gerry Keaney.

"The Fleet Technology Congress will provide attendees with a fantastic opportunity to network, discuss and gather insight on a wide range of new trends and business models impacting the vehicle rental and leasing sector," said Keaney.
