DVLA online services to be disrupted this weekend

Date: 19 November 2015   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

There will be disruption to the DVLA's View Driving Licence and Share Driving Licence systems this weekend due to maintenance.

Between 9pm on Friday and 7am on Monday, the systems will unable to verify National Insurance numbers.

Although drivers affected by the disruption period will not be able to create a new check code during this period, the 'Check Driving Licence' online service will continue to operate.

The DVLA's premium rate phone numbers however, will continue to operate as normal between 8am and 2pm on Saturday. However, drivers with a valid UK  driving licence, bank account/credit card details and a mobile phone or tablet will be able to access the service through Gov.uk during this period.

Meanwhile, some DVSA vehicle examiners are planning on taking strike action today and tomorrow.
