Enterprise and Burnt Tree merge to form Enterprise Flex-E-Rent

Date: 14 August 2015   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Vehicle rental company Enterprise and leasing firm Burnt Tree have confirmed that they have merged to create the Enterprise Flex-E-Rent brand.

Enterprise said the merger deal will create one of the UK's largest commercial vehicle rental businesses. It acquired Burnt Tree a year ago and since then the management team has integrated the companies.

The business will continue to run from Burnt Tree's base in Shrewsbury, serving commercial vehicle customers from depots that spans the country.

Enterprise claimed that Flex-E-Rent would operate a fleet of more than 25,000 commercial vans and trucks with a combined team of more than 450 employees.

All 21 Burnt Tree locations will be rebranded as Enterprise Flex-E-Rent, as will all new vehicles that join the fleet.

"The Burnt Tree brand had a fantastic reputation in the commercial vehicle industry, which made it such an attractive proposition in the first place," said Danny Glynn, managing director of Enterprise Flex-E-Rent.  "However, we believe that the time is right to unite the businesses under a single brand, Enterprise Flex-E-Rent, which stands for the highest levels of customer service, investment and innovation."
