European AFV registrations up by 13% in Q3

Registrations of alternatively-fueled vehicles in Europe in the third quarter of the year increased by 13.4% compared with Q3 in 2014, according to official figures by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association.

The figures show that electric vehicle registrations increased by 62.3%, to 28,360 units, while demand for hybrid vehicles grew by 34.7% with 53,183 units registered.

In the UK, AFV registrations increased by 26.4%, while Norway registered the largest number of EVs, totaling 7823 units.
