European trade bodies come together to promote diesel

Date: 01 September 2015   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Various European automotive and motor trading organisations have joined forces to launch an online campaign to raise awareness about clean diesel engines.

The European Automobile Manufacturers' Association, the Association for Emissions Control by Catalyst, the European Council for Motor Trades and Repairs and the European Association of Automobile Suppliers have created cleandieseltech.eu website to promote the use of diesel.

The group said it aims to provide simple and accessible facts and figures to inform both the public and policy makers about the latest generation of diesel vehicles, and how they could play a part in a low carbon future.

The coalition is also calling for technology-neutral policies to ensure the uptake of low-emission vehicles, regardless of the fuel type, continues to grow.
