Mini has revealed the new Clubman model ahead of it going on sale in the autumn. It will be priced from £19,995.

Three versions will be available from launch - the Cooper Clubman, Cooper D Clubman and Cooper S Clubman. The first two models' CO2  emissions are below 130g/km with the most frugal model being the Cooper D Clubman. It is powered by a 2.0-litre engine, which produces 150hp, emits 109g/km of CO2 and returns 68mpg. It is priced from £22,265.

The Cooper Clubman is powered by the firm's 1.5-litre cylinder petrol engine. It produces 136hp, returns 55.4mpg and emits 118g/km of CO2, while the Cooper S is powered by Mini's 2.0-litre 192hp petrol engine. It emits 144g/km of CO2 and returns 45.6mpg.

The Mini hatch was the 35th most popular fleet vehicle in sales with 10,667 registrations in 2014.

Mini said the Clubman is 270mm longer and 73mm wider than the hatchback model, while bootspace is rated at 360 litres compared to 278 litres in the smaller hatchback model.

Mini has retained the outgoing model's van-style two-door rear tailgate arrangement. However, this time rear doors are offered on both sides of the vehicle, which the BMW-owned company said increases the car's accessibility and everyday usability.

Mini's navigation system is standard on all models, which is accessed via either a 6.5-inch or 8.8-inch touchscreen.

All models feature an Excitement Package, which includes a projection of the Mini badge onto the floor below the driver's side door mirror when the car is opened and closed.

Other standard equipment includes Bluetooth, start/stop technology and 16-inch wheels.
