Iveco has revealed an electric version of its Daily panel van, which is available to order now. A price has not yet been confirmed.

The Daily Electric is capable of travelling up to 173 miles and is able to be charged within two hours when connected to a fast charging station.

The van features regenerative braking, with adjustable settings allowing the driver to choose strength of braking when they lift off the throttle (adding charge back into the battery).

The vehicle is also fitted with a pedestrian warning system as standard, which is activated when driving at speeds of up to 18mph.

Inside, the electric van is equipped with a detachable seven-inch tablet computer, and a TomTom satnav, which has been developed in conjunction with the Italian vehicle maker.

Known as TomTom Bridge for Iveco, the system includes a semi-integrated dashboard dock which allows the unit to be removed easily.
