Mercedes-Benz has revealed its SLC convertible ahead of it arriving in showrooms in April 2016.
The SLC - previously known as the SLK - is based on the C-class saloon and estate, will be powered by a range of petrol and diesel engines.
Diesel power comes from a 204hp 2.1-litre motor, which emits 114g/km of CO2 and returns 64.2mpg, while petrol consist of a 156hp 1.5-litre engine, 184hp and a 245hp 2.0-litre unit and the SLC 43 AMG model, which is powered by a 367hp 3.0-litre unit.
Standard equipment includes the firm's collision prevention system, and the adaptive highbeam assist which automatically dims the headlights when other vehicles are approaching, allowing drivers to leave the highest beam on at all times without dazzling other motorists.
Mercedes' traffic sign assist system also features in the new SLC and reconise speed limit signs, no entry and no overtaking signs, showing the driver where any such restrictions start and finish.
Meanwhile, if the front passenger seat is unoccupied or if a child seat is detected, the front passenger airbag is automatically deactivated.
