First pictures: Volkswagen Sharan 2015

Volkswagen has unveiled its facelifted Sharan ahead of its debut at the Geneva motor show next month. It is due to go on sale in Germany this summer, but Volkswagen doesn't know when it appear in the UK yet.

The power of the strongest engine has been increased by 20hp, up from 200hp, while the 150hp diesel model gains 10hp over its predecessor and the 184hp gets 7hp more than before. The German car maker said the units emit between 130g/km CO2 and 167/km CO2.

The firm's automatic post collision braking system is a standard-fit item, with other optional extras including a lane assist system and the third iteration of the firm's parking assistance system.

The MPV will also be equipped the company's App Connect system which allows a number of apps to be linked to the car's infotainment system. The rear of the vehicle will also feature LED lighting.
